Isaiah 43:2a (NIV): When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.

Ecclesiastes 5:1-2 (NIV): As you enter the house of God, keep your ears open and your mouth shut. It is evil to make mindless offerings to God. Don’t make rash promises, and don’t be hasty in bringing matters before God. After all, God is in heaven, and you are here on earth. So let your words be few.

A drain's purpose is to drain water (which is supposed to be vital and essential for life) from everything near it, yet still can't stop something beautiful growing.

John 10:10 (NLT): The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

Psalm 91:4 (NIV): He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

Isaiah 28:5 (ESV): In that day the LORD of hosts will be a crown of glory, and a diadem of beauty, to the remnant of His people.

1 Peter 5:4 (NIV): And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.

James 1:12 (NIV): Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

1 Peter 2:9 (NIV): But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.
